We deliver 3D grade models in 3 business days. Here’s our process—and the only 3 situations where we’ll ask for more time (and why you’ll thank us later).
3-Day Machine Control Models: Our Standard—With 3 Extreme Exceptions
In construction, time is literally money. Waiting weeks for machine control models means idle equipment, delayed schedules, and frustrated crews.
That’s why Four Legged Construction guarantees a 3-business-day turnaround on most machine control modeling projects. From the moment you send us your survey data, blueprints, or rough sketches, we aim to have precise, equipment-ready files (for Trimble, Leica, or Topcon) back in your hands within 72 hours.
But we believe in transparency. So here’s the honest truth about when we might break that promise—and why it’s always in your best interest.
---
Our Standard 3-Day Workflow
Here’s what happens in those 72 hours:
1. Day 1 (Hours 0–24): We review your data, clarify any ambiguities, and build the initial base model.
2. Day 2 (Hours 24–48): We refine cut/fill volumes, check against site constraints, and run a quality assurance review.
3. Day 3 (Hours 48–72): We deliver the final, machine-ready files and schedule a follow-up call for any questions.
This timeline covers 90% of our projects—residential lots, commercial pads, solar fields, and data centers up to 100 acres.

The 3 Extreme Exceptions (When We’ll Ask for More Time)
We will never rush a model that isn’t ready. If we ask for an extension, it’s for one of these three reasons:
Exception #1: Catastrophic Data Gaps
Your survey is missing critical benchmarks, has conflicting elevation points, or lacks utility locations. We will not guess—it creates dangerous models.
· Our Fix: We’ll provide a detailed "data deficiency" report within 24 hours and work with your team to fill the gaps. The clock restarts when we have complete, verified data.
Exception #2: Mid-Project Design Changes
You’re 48 hours into our process, and the engineer sends revised blueprints with a new retention pond location. We’ll pivot—but a full rework takes time.
· Our Fix: We’ll prioritize the updated areas and deliver a partial model for the unchanged zones while we rework the rest. You’re never completely stopped.
Exception #3: The "Unbuildable" Geometry
Your design calls for a 3:1 slope that the dozer physically cannot achieve, or a retaining wall that violates OSHA clearance. We will stop, call you, and ask for clarification.
· Our Fix: We provide a "field reality report" with alternative geometry that can be built, saving you from a costly stop-work order later. This discussion takes an extra day—and prevents a week of rework.

Why This Matters to You
We could promise 24-hour turnarounds on everything. But that would mean:
· Sending you files with unchecked errors.
· Ignoring obvious field conflicts.
· Making you pay for revisions later.
We choose honesty over speed every time. You’ll never hear, "We’ll fix it in the as-built"—because by then, the concrete is already poured.
---
Our Commitment
If we accept your project, we commit to:
1. A 3-day target for standard projects.
2. A 1-day heads-up if we see an exception coming, so you can adjust schedules.
3. A partial delivery whenever possible, so your equipment stays moving.
Your time is valuable. Our job is to make sure every hour spent on the machine counts.
